Ed has been on our board for 3 years now. He has prior medical experience from when he worked as an EMT in Missouri before attending Police academy. Ed works as a Detective for St. Louis Co. PD Crime Lab. When he’s not busy, he enjoys fishing, gardening, and working out. You may have seen him around if you have attended our fish frys.

Alan has served 11 years on our fire board and helps with the projects around our station 1. Alan is retired and enjoys traveling when he can. He also refinishes solid wood furniture and raises alfalfa. Alan is on the Grafton board as well.

Dan was a firefighter for 9 years with us and has been apart of our fire board for the last 18 months as a Trustee. Dan is now retired. He enjoys various volunteer activities. Dan’s past benefits him on the board with giving ideas to help us serve our community.

Dennis has been a part of our fire board for 3 years now. When he is not attending our monthly board meetings, he a bus driver for Jersey CUSD 100. Dennis is retired from Principia College and likes to spend his free time camping, fishing, and working on his antique truck.

Heather has been a part of our team for a year as our Clerk. She spends most of her time with her grandchildren and working as a “Coding Analyst” for BJC Healthcare. However, she also runs our QEM Fire Protection Dist. Auxiliary. She like to stay busy and as she says, “enjoys the paperwork.” Being in her position, Heather gets to socialize with our community as well. Heather loves doing crafts and reading in her free time.

You may have noticed a change recently in the Fire Department. Aaron was promoted to Fire Chief as of August 2024. He has been with the department for 25 years now and continues to help make a difference in our community. When Aaron is not busy with the Fire Department he is working as a Paramedic with AMH. Aaron loves to travel to Disney and enjoys family gathering when he has the time.

Cameron joined in August 2024. While Cameron is still getting the hang of things and catching on quickly, he will be attending EMT classes in Spring 2025. You may recognize him if you enjoy coffee! Cameron is the General Manager of Germania. When he has free time, he uses it spending time with his family and hiking.

Austin has been serving on our department for 8 years and continues to serve your community when he’s not working as a Machine Tech. Austin specializes in out media department as well. Most of our photos come from “Jersey County Responders” Facebook page, which he owns. In Austin’s free time he enjoys photography and being outdoors.

Victoria has been a part of the department for a little over 2 years now. We were able to send her to EMT classes over the Summer of 2024 and she now works full-time at AMH as an EMT-B. When she is not working, she is helping run our Facebook page and planning our next P.R. event. Victoria loves spending time with her family and playing video games when she can. She likes to stay busy and learn new ways to help others around her.

Damon was promoted earlier this year to Captain. Serving 4.5 years on our department. Since becoming Captain he was able to start the “Smoke Detector” Program. Helping other to ensure they have working smoke detectors in their homes. Outside of the fire department Damon is a Truck Driver for Piasa Motor Fuels. When he is not busy, he is enjoying time with his family, watching hockey games, and trout fishing.

Austin started as a cadet 12 years ago, since then he has been promoted to Captain. Austin currently works as an EMT for Survival Flight Ground. When he is not working, he enjoys playing video games. Austin works hard to help and teach our Probationary firefighters and works with other departments to train in our burn tower.

Bradley first joined us a 1.5 years ago. Since then, he has graduated to Probationary firefighter. Bradley just finished BOF and received his EMT license in 2024. Bradley currently works as Firefighter/EMT at Wood River Refinery. He enjoys hunting and going side by side riding in his free time. He also enjoys fire training.

Matt has been a part of our department for 2 years now. We were able to send him to school over the summer this year for EMT classes. Matt is always there to lend a hand when he can. When Matt is not busy with the fire department he works at Nautilus as the General Manager. If there is a solution to a problem, Matt normally has it. He likes to spend time when he can with his family.

Jonathan has been on our department for 3 years and has prior knowledge from another department he was at. Jonathan works as a repair manager. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, and riding four wheelers. Jonathan also helps with maintenance at the firehouse.

Arthur joined our department 2 years ago. He is a very devoted family man. Arthur works as a Process Operator at Phillips 66 Refinery and has been there for 14 years. now. He enjoys camping, hunting, and fishing with his boys.

Ray has been a part of our fire department for 8 years. He is one of our engineers and is also our head of maintenance department. Ray is a retired machinist who has lots of knowledge on fixing things around our stations. Ray likes to attend extra fire classes at IFSI when he can and will be attending EMT classes in Spring 2025 to better serve his community. When he is not busy, he is enjoying his time hunting, fishing, and volunteering elsewhere.

Steven joined our department in 2020. Since then, he has shown much effort in helping his community. Steven will be attending EMT course in early 2025. Currently Steven is an Industrial pump mechanic for “Rain for Rent.” In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his son, deer hunting, and putting together Lego architecture buildings.
